General Club Rules
CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES ARE NORMALLY CLOSED ON MONDAYS, EXCLUDING MOST HOLIDAYS
The following rules have been designed to provide a maximum level of enjoyment for all members and their guests. They have been formulated by Management and approved by the Board of Governors. Please ensure that family members and guests understand these rules.
Conduct and Behavior
Courteous behavior and language is expected at all times. Club members are responsible for themselves, family members, and guests. Club members must remain with their guests at all times while on Club property. Members may be held responsible for any damages to Club property that result from their actions.
Personnel Treatment
The staff at Quidnessett Country Club makes every effort to provide superior service to all members and guests. We expect a relationship of mutual respect between members and staff. Should a member have due concern regarding the conduct of a staff member, such concern should be reported to the General Manager or the Board of Governors. In either case, the General Manager and the Board of Governors will work together to take appropriate action.
Smoking Policy
The Clubhouse at Quidnessett Country Club is a smokefree facility.
Cell Phone Policy
Although cell phones have become a convenient means of communication for many in today’s professional and personal lifestyles, they can still be disruptive to others. Ringing cell phones are not permitted on Club property with the exception of those brought within the pool area. Please inform your guests of this policy.
Liquor Policy
In compliance with Rhode Island state law, Quidnessett Country Club’s liquor policy is as such:
• No alcohol may be purchased by anyone under the age of 21. Proof of age must be provided upon request.
• Alcohol may not be brought onto the Club premises (which shall include golf course), nor may any alcohol be taken off the Club property.
• QCC staff has been instructed NOT to serve anyone who has been determined by the Management or themselves to be intoxicated.
• Alcoholic beverages shall not be served after 12:00 a.m. The Club may close all bars at its discretion. All patrons must leave the Club premises no later than 12:30 a.m.
Parking
Parking is allowed only in the parking lots. No parking will be allowed on any roadways on the Club property at any time. Members, guests, and visitors must abide by parking regulations, honor reserved spaces, and park within the lined areas.
Personal Property: Loss/Damage
The Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
Pets
Pets of members and/or their guests are not allowed anywhere on Club property.
Credit Policy
1. Quidnessett members will receive an emailed statement each month for all fees and/or charges applicable for that month. Full payment of each month’s statement balance (dated the last day of the month), is due by the 20th of the following month.
2. For those members whose full payment has not been received by the 20th of the month, a 1-1/2% interest charge per month, will be charged to the member’s account on the outstanding balance.
3. Additionally, for those members whose full payment has not been received by the 20th of the month, a late fee up to $50 may be charged to the member’s account.
4. For those members who fail to submit full payment by the last day of the month in which payment is due, all outstanding obligations shall become Delinquent. Notice of such delinquency shall be sent by mail and/or email to such delinquent members at his/her address as they appear in the records of the Club. Such notice shall inform the member that his/her membership is no longer in good standing. If he/she fails to pay all delinquent obligations on or before the 15th day following the delinquency, his/her membership privileges may be suspended. Such failure shall be reported to the Board of Directors who may declare the membership terminated. The Board of Directors shall have the right to postpone or withhold termination of membership if they determine such termination would be unjust, improper or inadvisable under the circumstances. Notice of termination of membership shall be sent by mail and/or emailed to the member at his/her address, but such termination shall not release any existing liability of the member to the Club, including current year monthly dues payments not yet billed.
5. The Board of Governors will be notified of any suspensions.
6. Reinstatement. Any member whose membership has been suspended due to lack of payment will have a 5-day waiting period after full payment has been received before their privileges will be reinstated.
7. If suit is filed to collect any obligation of a member, or any part thereof, the member agrees to pay associated court costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
8. Notwithstanding that a member may have tendered his/her resignation or have ceased to be a member of the Club because of delinquency, death or otherwise, any sums due the Club shall be and remain a debt in favor of the Club, enforceable against such member and his/her estate or assigns.
Leave of Absence
A leave of absence is designed to allow for a temporary departure from the Club membership for a period not to exceed one year. A request for a leave of absence should be made in writing to the General Manager prior to November 30th for the following season. You must be a member in good standing before a leave of absence is granted. If you are a golfing member and a waiting list for golf membership exists when you reapply, you will be accepted as a Member-in-Waiting. During the term of your leave of absence, you are not a member of the Club and do not have any Club privileges. A leave of absence is not available to members who have previously taken a leave of absence. Any Member who is on an approved Leave of Absence, who joins a Country Club in the greater New England area will forfeit any right of re-entry to Quidnessett.
Resignation
Request for resignation shall be made in writing, and acceptance will be conditioned on the member’s account being fully paid and will be effective ONLY at the end of the calendar year.
Renewals
Once a member of the Quidnessett Country Club, your membership will automatically renew on November 30th for the upcoming season. Any optional fees that you chose in current year, will automatically renew as well. Should you wish to change membership category and/or optional benefits, all requests need to be made in writing to our clubs General Manager by November 30th.
House Rules
Dress
1. All members and guests must wear the proper attire when on Club property. Proper attire specifically excludes the wearing of short shorts (defined as any length above mid-thigh), cutoffs, jean skirts, jean jackets, tennis shorts, tee shirts, body shirts, and sweatpants. Jeans are not allowed anywhere on Club property. Quidnessett now allows Tommy Bahama® (camp-style) shirts that are worn outside the pants. All other shirts, e.g. Polo, dress, etc., must be tucked in. Ladies’ golf shirts can be sleeveless, but must have a collar. Tank tops and exercise shirts are not to be worn at any time on the course. Hats and caps are to be worn properly with the front facing forward not backward not or to the side. Quidnessett management still reserves the right to amend this policy at their sole discretion and deem what is appropriate.
2. Quidnessett Country Club is a soft spike facility.
3. Male members and male guests are not permitted to wear hats in the Mixed Grille.
4. Bathing attire will be permitted only in the pool area and locker rooms. Cover-ups will be required when traveling between the pool and the Clubhouse.
5. Bare feet are not allowed anywhere outside of the shower areas or pool area.
6. Members are responsible for the attire of their family members and their guests.
Reservations/Cancellations
1. Reservations for dinner are necessary to assure adequate staffing. Dinner reservations can be made at any time and are appreciated, even up to a half- hour prior to the time of dinner. Cancellations are appreciated with as much advance notice as possible.
2. Reservations for Club functions are required seventy-two (72) hours prior to the function to assist the Club in planning properly for food, staffing and activities. A twenty-four (24) hour cancellation notice is necessary for functions, or you may be charged for the function.
Dining Hours
Dining hours will be published in the QCC Newsletter. Clubhouse facilities are normally closed on Mondays, excluding most holidays.
Age Restrictions
1. Persons under the age of twenty-one (21) are not permitted at any bar on the Club premises.
2. Persons sixteen (16) and over are not permitted in the 19th Hole Grille Room without being accompanied by an adult. Persons under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted in the 19th Hole Grille Room.
3. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) must be accompanied by an adult when using the locker rooms.
Monthly Minimum Spending Requirements
The monthly minimum spending requirements apply to food purchased in the Mixed Grille or the 19th Hole anytime. Beverages (exclusive of coffee and tea), tax, and gratuities are not included. An 18% service charge will be added to all charges.
1. Golf, Social & Club Quidnessett Membership There is a monthly food minimum for each of these membership classifications.
2. Continuing Membership This membership is subject to a monthly food minimum requirement.
3. Corporate Membership This membership classification is subject to a monthly food minimum requirement.
Lockers
Lockers in the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms are available to members as follows:
